Redness / Couperose

Couperose is the French word for Chronic Inflammatory skin disorder: Rosacea. Couperose skin can occur in anyone, but most common in light skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. Some of the symptoms are facial redness and flushing in the center of the face. Visible blood vessels, sensitivity to touch, burning and stinging skin, formation of pimples and pustules may contain pus, thickening of the skin, especially around the nose.

The causes of Couperose skin and Rosacea linked to genetics, immune system reactions, environmental factors, exposure to certain microorganisms, and dysfunction of the nerves that control your blood vessels play a role in its development. Also, there are several triggers one should avoid when having this type of skin. Some of them are spicy food, red wine, foods containing citrus and tomatoes, and many other triggers.
